Claire Taylor, Music Director

Claire Taylor holds a Master of Music from the University of Illinois as well as undergraduate degrees in Music and Biology from Butler University.  She is the adjunct professor of bassoon at Millikin University and owner of Claire Taylor Woodwind Repair, an instrument repair service.  Active as a bassoonist, saxophonist, and woodwind doubler, Claire is a member of the Millikin-Decatur and Champaign Urbana Symphony Orchestras, the Garni Woodwind Trio, and performs with numerous other groups in Central Illinois, including the Illinois Symphony, the Sugar Creek Symphony of Symphony and Song, the Decatur Municipal Band, the Decatur Big Band, and Little Theater on the Square.

After traveling the American West as a biologist for the Bureau of Land Management and the Mediterranean and Caribbean as a saxophonist for Celebrity Cruises, Claire returned to her hometown of Decatur and now uses her varied musical experience to serve as Music Director.
