First Presbyterian features two worship services on most weeks, with an education hour in between the two. All worship services are live streamed on our YouTube page for those who cannot attend in person.
At 8:45AM, our NewSong service is held in the Chapel. This is a contemporary service with music provided by our praise band. This service is not held on the first Sunday of each month.
At 9:45AM, we have an education hour with classes for children and adults of all ages.
11:00AM brings our Sanctuary service. This service uses some elements of contemporary services with the more traditional responsive readings and hymns. The Sanctuary choir participates in this service, along with our handbell choirs and occasional other musicians.
On the first Sunday of each month, we hold a single blended service at 11:00AM in the sanctuary to allow all church members to fellowship and take communion together.
Child care for young children is available in our nursery from 8:30-12:15 each week.
The Taizé service is held on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm from September through May. This prayer service in the chapel offers a taste of the character of the contemplative prayer services at the Community of Taizé. The meditative songs offer short, repeated expressions of prayer, which may become our own prayers as we hear them, gradually come to learn them, and begin to join in singing them. You are invited to listen to the musicians repeating the songs while you settle into a sense of comfort in singing them yourself. Let the words and music slowly and gently fill you, drawing you to turn your attention to God in song and silent prayers.
